Even medical miracles need marketing.

A cliché often used in the advertising world, when someone gets really stressed about silly stuff, is: “Hey, let’s remember, we’re not saving lives here!” However, on this occasion it was a pleasure to be involved in the marketing of a clever little gadget that does just that. The inventors didn’t really need me to come up with a powerful message, but they did need me to help them express it, in a way that helps make millions of sales around the world.

He's also a smart businessman because, unlike many others, he realised that his website needed to be as up to date as the technology he's using in his trade. He didn't need the site to get new business - positive word of mouth about him is all over town - but he did need it to reflect his market-leader positioning. So he called another type of Doctor... and the operation was a complete success.

Back in the day, when I was the general manager of a national lifestyle magazine, the editor said to me: "Justin, too many of our editorial contributions are from women, I want more from the men!" In a moment of cockiness, I offered to write a column about stuff that's happened to me. "OK!", said she. There began three years of controversy, fan mail and stalkers, during which I had the pleasure of parading my inner most insecurities to 250,000 readers every month, in my regular column "The Secret Life of Jus"
